Short answer
PasteItAll is an intentional content library for Mac: you choose what to save, then retrieve it through search, structure, and keyboard-first system entry points.
Product basics
- Is PasteItAll a clipboard history manager?
- It is built for reusable content. It saves only text, links, images, and files that you deliberately submit. It does not automatically record clipboard history or poll the clipboard in the background.
- What should I save in it?
- Release copy, reusable replies, product links, images, configuration snippets, and files you need repeatedly. Projects and tags give these items a durable structure.
- Which Macs are supported?
- The current version requires macOS 15.0 or later and supports English and Simplified Chinese.
Retrieval
- What is Quick Picker?
- Press
⌃⌥Spaceby default. Search, move with the arrow keys, pressSpaceto preview,Returnto use,⌘Returnto copy only, andEscto close. - How do I save the current clipboard?
- Press
⌃⌥Sby default or explicitly choose “Save current clipboard” from the menu bar. Each read follows a user action. - Do Spotlight and “Insert from PasteItAll…” work everywhere?
- Spotlight can be controlled per item. macOS Services depend on each host app’s placement and supported data types, so compatibility is verified per host.
Privacy and sync
- Is content uploaded to the developer?
- PasteItAll is local-first, requires no PasteItAll account, and does not send saved content to an operator server.
- Can I sync across Macs?
- Pro users can opt into Apple’s private iCloud path: structured data uses the private CloudKit database and files use iCloud Documents. Local use remains available with sync off.
- Do diagnostics include content?
- Diagnostics are designed to exclude body text, URL query parameters, file contents, filenames, tags, and image data.
Plans
- What is the free limit?
- The free version saves up to 7 items. Pro removes the limit and includes optional private iCloud sync. Current purchase options are shown in the App Store.
